Sometimes we come across human beings who are simply gems, a cut above the rest of us mere mortals.  Meet Ahmed Angel, an 18-year old from Iraq, who has recently been popping up all over the internet — and no wonder, what with that disarming “Blue Steel” pose (a la Zoolander), perfectly gelled hair, and immaculate airbrushed makeup.  He’s got a treasure trove of photos on his Facebook, and apparently a rapidly growing fan base.

Sure, the title of his YouTube video, “Ahmed Angel is Planet,” doesn’t really make sense.  But after you watch it, you’ll realize that making sense really isn’t the point.

It’s been four years since the fateful trip Suzie took to Chicago to visit me while I was at graduate school and Absolutely Fobulous was born — perhaps out of drunken brainstorming, but at this point, I’m quite hazy on the details. All I know is, after her visit, boom, AbFob came into creation. And soon after, our dear middle school chum, Amy, joined on board to become part of our family.

So much has happened in our lives in the past four years, but no matter how much we’ve changed and grown, AbFob remains unchanged. It’s a place where people from all walks of life can go to at the end of the day for some lighthearted fun. We hope we’ve brightened your day in some way.

Not going to lie, it’s takes self discipline to run this site, because sometimes after a long, hard day at work, I just want to curl up in front of the TV and watch some good ol’ trashy reality shows. AbFob what? But all jokes aside, I’m proud of what we’ve built, and I feel blessed that I’m working with my two best friends on this. We can all be hard on each other, but at the end of the day, I wouldn’t want to do this site with anyone else.

Here’s to many more years of fobulousness to come!

I love burgers and I love ramen, but never have I imagined combining them. Japanese burger chain, Lotteria, has joined forces with famous Japanese ramen restaurant, Menya Musashi, to create the unique ramen burger. Instead of your typical beef patty, this carb-overload menu item consists of seasoned ramen noodles that are grilled, topped with BBQ pork covered in sweet brown sauce, and placed between two buns spread with mayo. It comes with a side of fish broth to help wash down this fatty goodness, and the entire meal costs around $6.50.  Not enough? Pay an extra buck to get a second portion with more soup.

This special is available only from May 20 to mid-June. So if you’re in Japan, make sure to bring out your inner fatty and try it!

Never thought I’d see 3D latte art. This coffee kitty was created by Kazuki Yamamoto, a 26-year-old from Osaka, Japan. He posts his latte art creations regularly on his twitter account and he’s apparently far from the only one to surface from Japan. Although we do have latte artists here in the US, the Japanese designers take it to another level with the 3D features and the intricate designs.

Being an iconic “Singapore Girl,” doesn’t just involve learning the safety and emergency procedures. Training to be a stewardess for the airline requires perfecting makeup, hair, walking down the aisle, and most importantly, looking hot and learning to constantly smile. Apparently, the ladies are required to keep their hair buns no wider than 2.8 inches and their eyelashes must be curled to a certain length!

While some may argue that the training these gals are required to go through is a bit over the top, wouldn’t you rather spend a 12 hour flight being served by good looking women with awesome customer service? Unfortunately, most of us are probably more used to moody, less-attractive flight attendants who get mad if you ask for more than one bag of peanuts.

Although Psy’s new song, Gentleman, is rapidly growing in popularity, there’s still remnants of Gangnam Style playing…even in funeral homes. In Nanjing, the capital of the Jiangsu province of China,  netizens have reported hearing the catchy song play at funerals. While most people think such a comical song would be inappropriate to play at a somber occasion, I don’t think it’s as bad as having strippers dance for the dead!
