Apprentice contestant, Nicole Chiu, the Asian Ivanka Trump?

|

|

I completely admire strong women who possess brains, beauty, and personality. With that said, I already know who I’m rooting for on this season’s “The Apprentice”.  27-year-old Nicole Chiu, graduated cum laude from the University of California, Irvine and received her J.D. from Loyola Law School. Not only does she have the brains, but she also currently holds the title of Miss Los Angeles, and placed 4th runner-up at the Miss California USA 2008. Because she was miserable as an attorney, she decided to leave her law firm job and pursue her other dreams.

Hmm…as an attorney-to-be, I’m not sure if this is deterring or motivating.

Update: I guess she’s can’t be my favorite anymore since she’s been voted off the show.

I hope she’s a better beauty contestant than project manager.

Miserable as an attorney? She’s been barred since December 2009. That means she was a licensed attorney for – what – 6 months before she started the casting process? Way to go, Nicole – after three years of law school and the toughest bar exam in the country, it only takes 6 months of work to realize it’s not for you? Please. That explanation is as transparent as your strategy on the show. Volunteering as PM, while not committing to personally making any decision on your own, so as to take credit in case of success and deter blame in case of failure? At least Donald Trump gave you an opportunity at the Miss Universe organization for your work on the show (and I guess your experience in pageants was just a coincidence, right?).

I have more brains and beauty.

Mahsa is a scary hound! This dog thinks she’s judge judy or something. Nicole was smart to bring her back in the boardroom because now Mahsa looks like a psycho in front of the Trumps and all hiring employers in America who may be watching the show. Nicole however showed her composure, intelligence, and calm during a tough situation from a bunch of two dirty hounds. She basically sold herself to many potential employers while destroying the job prospects of those two dogs. The best way to succeed in this show is to get hired from America by using your 15 minutes of fame, not from the Trump organization. How likely is it that those two hounds would win and get a job with the Trumps? No reason to look like bitches to save your asses on just the 1st of 16 rounds while looking like assholes in front of America forever. The other women are just a bunch of bandwagon riding cowards trying to survive. Nicole got herself a job from the Trumps, and maybe others will be calling soon. Who will be calling those two hounds? They’re just jealous and bitter. Basically Nicole hit three birds with one stone by taking the two hounds out while getting herself hired. She skipped the entire season and already got herself hired after the 1st show. Way to go!

These bios on the show are soooo phoney. The real reason Nicole left her attorney job was to move to San Francisco to be with her boyfriend.

  • jae

    to Arminta:
Of course they are all phoney, did you just figure that out just now!? Yeah real smart. Don’t be a jealous hater like the rest of them bitches

  • Joe

Right on Jae! Couldn’t agree with you more.

That was so immature the way Masha and Tyana were whispering about you before the final boardroom. I have never seen that happen in any other Apprentice episode before.

I admire your ability to keep your cool and stay professional under that type of heat. You really exposed the type of person Masha really is. Gosh I’m happy she is not an Assistant District Attorney anymore, that lady has no integrity. I will be hoping for Masha to be fired on each upcoming episode.

    Good luck and take care.

  • tuffigirl

Joe…. if you’ve never seen that happen before then you must not have watched very much because it’s happened many, MANY times. And pretty soon the same people who are whispering will be stabbing each other in the back. They aren’t there to make friends… they’re there to get a once in a lifetime chance to work for the Donald. Don’t worry…. Masha won’t be there long. She’s already made Ivanka dislike her, once that happens you’re toast.

As for Nicole I liked her and was rooting for her, but let’s face facts… she was a bad project manager and deserved to be fired. If she wasn’t so busy being mean to Tyana for no good reason and had delegated like she should have she’d still be there.

Masha was really unprofessional with all those yelling and screaming. Nicole carried herself very well but could not defend herself in the board room. I was quite surprised to see all the aprrentice contestants being so unprofessional. They all say they used to make big bucks, but with the attitudes like that how can you keep your job. I think ladies will not do well this season. I can’t wait to see Masha go. She just has a lot to say with a very bad attitude. It was a just first episode there is more to come. Let’s watch what happens next, how will the contestants deliver their tasks.

Nicole was the rare breed. She had brains, beauty and confidence. The other women felt threatened by her, and that’s why they got rid of her. That’s just how chicks are–worse than men. Anyway she showed class on her way out.

  • anon

Those women were pretty jealous of Nicole. MAHSA IS ONE UGLY, ANGRY, PSYCHO BITCH!! LOL. I can see why she’s unemployed…..with that face and unprofessional, psycho, aggressive personality, who the hell would hire her?!?! She’s prob on the show to add conflict to the show…like most reality tv. Nicole was too nice on the show, she should of barked orders at the incompetent hags…..Mahsa should have been ripped a new one.

Nicole was a delightful young woman with beauty, brains, and confidence. She spoke every moment with dignity, and was a respectable woman. The leader does not have the time to be painting walls or cleaning windows. I suspect spiteful collusion behind the scenes, behind the camera.

The other women felt immensely threatened, and were a bunch of vicious dogs. Nicole was perfectly reasonable in asking them their opinions, does one want someone in charge to tell them every little thing to do? PLEASE. I was really rooting for Nicole the moment I saw her, and glad because this apprentice season looked promising. Tyana should have gone, as literally every stylistic change, furniture, paint, etc fell on her shoulders. I really wish Nicole could have argued better, because Trump really liked her, and no one watching wanted her to go.

I do not see why every single woman, even the quietest blonde who was with her would refuse to provide an alternate name. There was clearly some trickery behind the scenes where they agreed beforehand. Nicole was the dazzling focal point of their hatred, and I know that I am not the only one waiting for them to fall apart and let the men decide amongst themselves who will be the apprentice. That prosecutor was a real bitch. I don’t like using that language, but it applies.

Nicole, you carried yourself with dignity this entire show, which says a lot about your character. Don’t feel bad, as Donald Trump also really liked you. You will receive the amazing job, as a word from Trump is gold. I think you really won the apprentice, and I cannot wait for the women to slowly tear each other apart. Good luck in life.

The men were really interesting, and I am REALLY surprised Gene chose the painter guy as his weakest link. He put the painter on the same level as DAVID. Trump loved the creativity, and asked him “are you an artist irl?” Bad move, he worked hard, and as Ivonka put it “He stood up for you while you were gone.” Gene was just personally hurt by the artist for disagreeing with him, but really? That doesn’t make him “subversive.”

Dave, the crazy AV guy was an idiot the first day, but the fat man without a tie was also foolish. I was really sad when I saw Dave phoning for unemployment, and felt sorry for him. He was acting out because of the stress and his children while with other men. While day 1 went poorly, he really was an AV guy. He picked out everything VERY efficiently, to the point where the salesman was surprised and impressed.

The fat man who argued with Dave lost credibility for not wearing a tie, and for saying he felt compassion for Dave. What??

The Indian or the fat man should have been taken as the second weakest link. The rug was a bad touch.

Final thoughts: Nicole was very impressive, and I am disappointed in the women on the show. I hope that they quickly are eliminated, while the men finally decide who must go.

    Nicole?
She looked pretty and appeared to be confident but failed to assert herself or her authority in any way, shape or form. Nicole did not delegate very well, nor did she assume the mantle of responsibility for any tasks performed by her team. Nicole was weak and indecisive and during the show she could be heard plotting and looking for a scapegoat (Tyana). Nicole volunteered to be the Team Leader but failed to lead or to organzie a team with a cohesive, inspired vision.

Nicole was foolish to assert that she wanted to be Team Leader. If you are a great leader – it would be a great opportunity to prove yourself – if you are not a great Team Leader – you would be smart to wait. It is better to sit at the back and be called to the front, then to sit at the front and be sent to the back.

Gene was weak but he was not so foolish as to volunteer insomuch as he was “called out”! I give Gene credit for trying and Nicole was simple foolish. You don’t send your best, strongest, brightest into the fray at the head of the pack – you send those who are eager and expendable. Nicole made herself expendable! If Nicole were terrific she would have won – Nicole was full of sound and fury (in an albeit modest and demure manner) signifying no substance just some apparent beauty and stage presence which only appeared to have fooled Donald with her guile!

David, deserves neither credit nor condemnation for his efforts on the first day as Gene was totally ineffectual and lacking with respect to being a leader. David did demonstrate himself to be faithful to Gene and more than fair on the second day. Gene was foolish and pitiful to have singled out the “painter” for standing up to him and staying true to his vision.

The eventual winner will be someone who ‘said little’ during the first episode because it did not server any purpose for them to say much or even do much at this stage of the game! With all of the resources of “the Donald” at their disposal, the two teams were woefully inadequate and presenting a polished image that has become synonomous with the Trump name.

It sucks Nicole had to go….not my favorite though, but i wanted to see more of her. Maybe because my girlfriend is asian, lol. That guy David was a jackass, its too soon to tell.

  • JackBauer

    Just watched this recently.

I was sad to see Nicole go, but she did make a tactical error of volunteering to be the first project manager.

Reasons NOT to volunteer to be first PM:

    - You don’t know what your team is like, who is constructive, who the snakes are. Nicole found out too late.
    - Risk of elimination. Pretty obvious one.
    - Little benefit even if you do win. Sure, you could argue it shows confidence to step up like that, but a few weeks down the track, no one is going to remember, so theres no real advantage for volunteering in the first week.

    Ultimately, high risk, low reward.

Oh and Masha is a hag.

  • Howard

Trump has seen it all. He knows and says at the end of the episode that he thinks Nicole is a good leader. Nicole was the scapegoat for the first task’s failure. Hire for the personality. That said I believe Masha makes a good prosecutor but heck I don’t know if any employer who saw Masha on the show wants to hire her now.

  • Geek Laugher

LOL@all you geeks, get a fucking life.

  • IfWeAreGeeksThanYouHaveALegionToContendWith

Nicole conducted herself with grace, respect and most importantly, dignity. What Trump took as “not fighting for herself” was merely Nicole not willing to get into shouting match with the old bitch, Masa. The reason why nobody stood up for Nicole was because everybody felt threatened by her beauty and her intelligence. Nicole is really articulate, respectful and presents herself really nice. She will have a bright future anywhere she goes. Masa needs to get her cranium checked as no employer would want to hire such a rude and one dimensional character.
