Typically they live at home until they get married.

So if they never get married.... then.. well, they can technically stay home forever, to also help out their older parents do big chores, etc.

If he's fiscally responsible, he's saving his money and not wasting it.

Most Asians do live at home, but many move out and just come back occasionally for whatever reason.

I moved out at 19, and when I lived at home with my parents for 6 months because of a project I had in their city, I paid rent, utilities AND I made my mom breakfasts and lunches to bring to work.

Now I'm moving back again for half a year while trying to get sponsored to move to the States.

It really depends on the type of family you have, but most traditional families make you stay at home until you're married or are around early to mid 30s and finally "old enough" to leave..

P.S. I think you mean "Caucasian".

I work with two Asian guys who live at home. One of which has lived at home working the same job as me for the past two and a half years. I pay over one thousand dollars a month in rent. His mommy makes his lunch. My question is...

How long is it acceptable to live "at home" and/or how much do you have to save towards a down payment on a house before you move out?

Is he fiscally responsible, or just another Asian/Cockasian baby?
